Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 15, 2025

We know privacy matters. When you sign up with NodevolutionHub for financial analysis training, you're trusting us with information about yourself. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it. And yes, we follow Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) along with international standards.

What Information We Collect

When you interact with our platform, we gather specific types of information. Nothing weird or invasive, just what's necessary to run an educational service properly.

Personal Details You Give Us

  • Your name, email address, and phone number when you register or contact us
  • Billing information if you enroll in paid courses (though we don't store full credit card numbers)
  • Profile information you choose to add, like your professional background or learning goals
  • Communications you send us through email or contact forms

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Technical data like your IP address, browser type, and device information
  • How you navigate our site - which pages you visit and how long you stay
  • Course progress and completion data to help you pick up where you left off
  • Login times and activity patterns to keep your account secure
Data Type Purpose Retention Period
Account Information Service access and communication Active account + 3 years
Course Progress Track learning and provide certificates Active account + 5 years
Payment Records Financial compliance and receipts 7 years (tax requirements)
Technical Logs Security and system performance 90 days

How We Use Your Information

Everything we collect has a purpose. We're not in the business of hoarding data for its own sake. Here's what actually happens with your information.

  1. Deliver the courses you signed up for, including access to materials and progress tracking
  2. Send you important updates about schedule changes, new content, or technical issues
  3. Process payments and send receipts (working with secure payment providers)
  4. Improve our teaching methods based on how students engage with materials
  5. Respond to your questions and provide support when you need help
  6. Protect against fraud and keep accounts secure from unauthorized access
  7. Meet legal obligations under Thailand financial education regulations

We don't sell your personal information to anyone. Not marketers, not data brokers, not other educational platforms. Your data stays with us unless you explicitly choose to share it elsewhere.

Who We Share Data With

Running an online education platform means working with some third parties. But we're selective about who gets access to what.

Service Providers We Work With

  • Payment processors that handle transactions securely (they see billing info but not your course activity)
  • Email service providers for sending course updates and certificates
  • Cloud hosting services that store our platform data with encryption
  • Analytics tools that help us understand how to make the site better (anonymized data only)

All these partners sign agreements promising to protect your information and use it only for the specific services they provide us. If a provider violates these terms, we find someone else.

Legal Requirements

Sometimes the law requires us to share information. We'll disclose data when legally required by Thai authorities, court orders, or regulatory bodies overseeing financial education. But we'll always verify the request is legitimate before handing anything over.

How We Protect Your Data

Security isn't something we tacked on as an afterthought. It's built into how we operate from the ground up.

  • All data transmission uses TLS encryption (the same security banks use for online banking)
  • Passwords are hashed and salted, meaning even we can't see what you chose
  • Our servers are protected by firewalls and monitored for suspicious activity around the clock
  • Access to student data is restricted to specific staff members who need it for their jobs
  • We regularly update our systems and patch vulnerabilities as they're discovered
  • Annual security audits by external experts help us catch problems before they become issues

That said, no online system is completely bulletproof. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by Thai law and explain what happened and what we're doing about it.

Your Rights and Choices

Under Thailand's PDPA, you have real control over your personal information. These aren't just empty promises in legal jargon. Here's what you can actually do.

Access and Portability

You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 30 days. If you want to move your information to another service, we'll give you a machine-readable file that makes the transfer easier.

Correction and Updates

Notice something wrong in your profile? You can update most information directly through your account settings. For data you can't change yourself, contact us and we'll make the corrections within 15 business days.

Deletion and Erasure

Want to delete your account? You have that right. We'll remove your personal information within 30 days, though we may keep some records for legal compliance (like transaction history for tax purposes). Once deleted, we can't recover your course progress or certificates, so make sure you've downloaded anything important first.

Object to Processing

If you disagree with how we're using your data, you can object. We'll review your concern and stop processing that information unless we have compelling legal grounds to continue. Marketing emails? You can opt out anytime using the unsubscribe link.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@nodevolutionhub.com with your request. We'll verify your identity (to prevent someone else accessing your data) and respond within the timeframes required by law.

Cookies and Tracking

Like most websites, we use cookies. These small text files help the site remember you between visits and understand how people use the platform.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential cookies: Required for basic functionality like logging in and accessing course materials. You can't disable these without breaking the site.
  • Performance cookies: Help us see which pages load slowly or cause errors so we can fix them. These don't identify you personally.
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings like language preference or video playback quality.
  • Analytics cookies: Show us anonymous patterns about how students navigate courses, helping us improve content organization.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Just keep in mind that blocking certain cookies might affect how well the platform works for you.

Children's Privacy

Our courses focus on financial analysis fundamentals that require a certain level of background knowledge. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old. If you're a parent and discover your child created an account with us, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.

For students aged 18-20, we may require parental consent depending on the course content and Thailand's specific regulations around financial education for young adults.

International Data Transfers

We primarily serve students in Thailand, but some of our service providers operate servers in other countries. When your data crosses borders, we ensure those providers meet equivalent protection standards through:

  • Contractual clauses requiring providers to maintain Thailand PDPA-level protections
  • Selecting providers in countries with adequate data protection laws
  • Using encryption for all data transfers regardless of destination
  • Regular audits to verify compliance with our data protection standards

Data Retention

We don't keep your information forever. Different types of data have different retention periods based on how long we actually need them.

Active account data stays with us as long as your account remains open. After you delete your account, most personal information disappears within 30 days. Course completion records and certificates stick around for five years so you can request copies later if needed. Financial records stay for seven years because Thai tax law requires it.

Technical logs and analytics data typically get purged after 90 days once they've served their purpose for system improvements and security monitoring.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy regulations evolve, and so does our platform. When we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you through email and display a notice on the website for at least 30 days before the new terms take effect.

Minor updates (like fixing typos or clarifying existing practices) won't trigger notifications, but we'll always update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back occasionally if privacy matters to you.

If you disagree with changes we make, you have the option to close your account before the new policy takes effect. Just remember to download any certificates or materials you want to keep first.
